Dharo Atham

Dharo is durva grass. Worship of Durga and of Balram, with durva offered. In many Gujarati households it is a day of vrat for family wellbeing, and the grass, the same durva used for Ganesha, is central to the offering.

Sattvik; many keep a partial fast.
