Five-day vrat by unmarried girls worshipping Goddess Gauri (Parvati) for a good husband. Ends on Guru Purnima.
Kept by unmarried girls, traditionally from around age five to marriage, for a good husband. Wheat and salt are given up entirely for five days, and javara, wheat seedlings grown in a pot, are tended and worshipped, then immersed at the end. Girls stay awake on the last night singing.
