Gowri Habba

Swarna Gauri Vrata. Gauri visits her parents' home the day before her son Ganesha comes to fetch her, which is why the two festivals are consecutive. Married women install a Gauri idol, tie a sixteen-knot gauri dara thread on the wrist, and receive baagina, a decorated winnowing basket of provisions given between women.
