Worship of the Navapatrika (nine plants representing Durga) on the seventh day of Durga Puja.
Akal Bodhon means "untimely awakening", Durga's proper season is spring, and Rama woke her out of season to seek her blessing before facing Ravana. The entire autumn Durga Puja is therefore, by its own account, an irregularity, which is a striking thing for a tradition to say about its own largest festival. Kalparambha is the formal beginning of the ritual; Navpatrika is the nine-plant bathing on Saptami.
The bhog cycle begins.
